Job Summary:

The Women’s Basketball Assistant provides support to the basketball coaching staff in the day-to-day operations of the program, including practice implementation, recruiting coordination, academic monitoring, and administrative tasks. This role assists in fostering a positive, compliant, and student-focused environment while supporting team success both on the court and in the classroom.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the coaching staff by assisting with practice planning, game scheduling, and team conditioning activities.

• Assist in organizing and implementing practice plans and program activities as directed by the coaching staff

• Support recruiting efforts by identifying prospective student-athletes and helping coordinate recruiting activities in alignment with University, NCAA, and Conference regulations

• Help monitor student-athletes’ academic progress by communicating with coaching staff and appropriate University personnel

• Participate in program and Athletic Department fundraising events and initiatives as assigned Adhere to and support compliance with all applicable NCAA, RMAC, and University policies and regulations

Working Conditions:

Requires weekend and/or evening work. Local, regional, and/or national travel is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

• 0-1 year coaching experience, high school or college coaching preferred.

• Valid driver's license with a driving record deemed insurable by University's insurer.
