A dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Track and Field Coach who works primarily with jumpers including, long jump, high jump, and Pole Vault. This position will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and implementing training programs, providing technical instruction, and supporting student-athletes’ academic and spiritual growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Design and lead technical and conditioning sessions for the jump events
● Provide individualized feedback to enhance performance and prevent injury
● Connect and build relationships with future recruits
● Collaborate with other event coaches and athletic staff
● Ensure adherence to NAIA/NCCAA rules and university policies

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Commitment to the mission and values of Mid-America Christian University.
● Bachelor’s degree
● CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
● Previous coaching experience in one or more jump events at the high school, collegiate, or club level
● Experience with strength & conditioning principles and technical progressions in jumps
● Demonstrated ability to mentor and spiritually support student-athletes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
● Ability to actively demonstrate event-specific techniques
● Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 40lbs. (standards, pits, poles, etc.)
● Frequent standing, walking, running, and moving across athletic fields and tracks for extended periods.

● Expectations include modeling Christian character and integrating faith into coaching and mentoring
