The Assistant Director of Donor Relations, Stewardship and Events

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Donor Relations, Stewardship and Events assists with the development and execution of events and programs that enhance the TCU Frog Club donor experience and support the University’s strategic priorities and initiatives through meaningful donor relations and stewardship. The Assistant Director provides high-level guest services within premium seating areas at TCU athletic events, effectively manages relationships with donors and vendors to ensure a high-quality experience for premium ticket holders, assists in the planning and execution of internal and external Frog Club events, and supports the overall donor relations and stewardship efforts of the TCU Frog Club.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Coordinates with hospitality employees, third-party catering companies, and event staff year-round to deliver the highest level of hospitality in TCU premium seating areas during athletic events.
   
2. Supports all operational aspects of the Horned Frogs Hospitality program, including recruitment of game-day staff, coordination of payroll and onboarding processes, production of internal and external communication materials (game-day newsletters, service guides, etc.), preparation of premium seating spaces, and management and development of Horned Frogs Hospitality Staff.
   
3. Supports the development and execution of all events for the TCU Frog Club – in doing so, ensures that all events serve a meaningful and mission-driven purpose, meet TCU standards of excellence for events, are executed in a fiscally responsible manner, properly engages various constituents, and contributes to the identification, cultivation, solicitation and/or stewardship of new and existing donors.
   
4. Assists in leading a successful and integrated donor relations program that strategically targets all levels of giving in support of TCU Athletics and our student-athletes.
   
5. Assists in implementing a stewardship strategy that appropriately thanks, retains and cultivates donors to TCU Athletics. This includes the fulfillment of donor-related benefits and stewardship efforts, as outlined in the Frog Club benefits chart and Investor’s Society materials.
   
6. Helps define stewardship and event success metrics, facilitate de-brief meetings, track feedback, and ensure suggestions are enacted where appropriate.
   
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years’ experience in event planning / customer service / hospitality or related field

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be insurable under the university motor vehicle requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of planning and organizing techniques.
• Knowledge of crowd management techniques, safety and security procedures, and disability accommodation services.
• Knowledge of basic record keeping techniques.
• Knowledge of customer service techniques.
• Skill in some or all components of Microsoft Office.
• Skill in the navigation of Microsoft Windows.
• Ability to work cooperatively with internal staff and outside hospitality partners.
• Ability to clearly communicate verbally.
• Ability to draft grammatically correct correspondence.
• Ability to use strong inter-personal skills for problem solving of patron issues and concerns.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):

Work Environment:

• Physical environment requires the employee to work both in indoors and outdoors in heat / cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• Requires attendance at games, events and contests.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
