The UCLA Athletics Marketing Department is looking for energetic, determined, detail‐oriented and

responsible UCLA students interested in working as an Athletics Marketing Student Intern for the 2024‐
2025 academic year. An opportunity to continue the internship for a second academic year is available.
The Athletics Marketing Internship is designed to support the marketing, promotions, and community
relations programs in the UCLA Athletic Department. Student interns will be expected to perform duties
that contribute to the overall professional goals of the organization.
These duties will include, but are not limited to:
Full participation in planning and execution of the marketing and fan experience plan for
assigned sport(s) in collaboration with assign full‐time staff member in the UCLA Athletics offices
Actively participating in planning and implementing special events and promotions
Office administrative duties
Interacting with Bruin fans at various UCLA Athletic events
Qualifications
Currently enrolled UCLA Student with 2.5 GPA or higher.
Must be available to work approximately 8 hours per week in the marketing office in addition to
the following assigned athletic events:
‐ A minimum of 75% of home events for all assigned sport(s). This equates to approximately
20‐25 athletic events throughout the athletic year.
‐ All six (6) home football games, beginning on September 14, 2024
Must be available to begin September 2024 with commitment through June 2025, at minimum
o Availability over Winter Break & Spring Break is preferred
o Availability to work home UCLA Football games in September is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Creativity. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign is a plus.
Strong Work Ethic
Interest in a career within Sports or Live Entertainment Marketing is preferred, but not required
Compensation
Office interns must complete 100 hours on a volunteer basis. Upon completing volunteer hours,
volunteers will be considered as candidates to be hired onto pay status at a pay rate of $16.80/hour for
future work. If an intern does not complete their volunteer hours of work by the end of Fall Quarter,
they will be considered as candidates to be hired onto pay status at the beginning of Winter Quarter.
In order to be hired onto pay status, candidates must be able to provide original identification
documents to satisfy the requirements of the Employment Eligibility Verification (I‐9) form (See Here). If
eligible, the pay rate is $16.80/hour. Students will work no more than 350 hours from their start date.
Supervisor will work individually with selected candidate(s) to arrange a summer work schedule (if
necessary) and how many hours they will work each week.
