About the Job

The assistant coach is responsible for supporting all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III women’s soccer program. The assistant coach assists the head coach in student recruitment and retention; coaches student athletes and fosters their skill development; assists in coaching plans and implementation at practices and competitions; provides for students’ safety, health and wellbeing; complies with NCAA, UMAC and university policies; provides sound fiscal management; assists in equipment oversight, scheduling, travel planning, and summer camps; assists in off-season programs and athlete development; and assists in program communication and fundraising efforts with the Head Coach. The assistant coach will work with the head coach to build a shared vision, work collaboratively with the Office of Admissions, build and retain a diverse and talented team, foster good sportsmanship and a climate of respect, and provide an environment that supports students in achieving their athletic, academic and life goals.

This position will also carry an additional responsibility within Cougar Athletics.

This is a 75%, 10-month, annually renewable coaching appointment. The position carries a $28,000-$30,000 annual salary, comprehensive benefit package, and the opportunity for an on-campus housing package depending on circumstance.
