Department Summary
HSC Health is the academic clinical practice of the Health Science Center. Focused on improving health outcomes to build a healthier community. HSC Health primary and mutlispecialty care offices are located on the Health Science Center (Fort Worth), Denton, and Dallas UNT System campuses. Our care teams extend to hospitals, surgery centers, long-term and continuing care centers, and mobile and in-home care. HSC Health’s interprofessional teams work collaboratively to achieve an optimized treatment plan tailored to the individual patient. Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, specialized technicians, and nurses work together while intentionally integrating healthcare students, residents, and fellows to deliver care to our community.
Position Overview
The University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC), HSC Health, is seeking a Sports Medicine physician to provide care to UNT student-athletes.
Minimum Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited medical school. Licensed to practice medicine in another state or have completed at least two years of postgraduate residency (not limited to the United States) Passed the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Licensed to practice medicine in another state or have completed at least two years of postgraduate residency. Passed the Texas Medical Jurisprudence Examination Ability to practice medicine within the scope of license, training, and credentials Ability to care for a diverse patient population and collegiate-level athletes.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicant must be able to provide clinical care in accordance with their completed residency training. Must be able to perform common medical procedures associated with that scope of practice.
