The Women's Basketball Video Director is a multifaceted role that supports the women’s basketball program through video operations, player development, and creative media content. This position is responsible for managing all video-related functions, including practice and game film breakdown, scouting video, and analytics. The coach also plays a hands-on role in individual skill development, assisting with on-court training sessions, workouts, and performance evaluation. In addition, the role serves as the team’s Creative Content Specialist—overseeing the creation of high-quality visual content to enhance the program’s brand. This includes designing graphics, coordinating photo and video shoots, and producing engaging recruiting presentations across digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be innovative, tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and passionate about both basketball and digital storytelling.

JOB FUNCTIONS**                                                                                                        **

Utilize SportsCode and SYNERGY software to break down games for analysis.

  • Provide scouting information and analytics to assist head coach and assistant coaches

  • Breakdown personnel for scouting reports

  • Self-scout University of Miami Women’s Basketball team videos for offensive and defensive sets, special strategies and individual players’ tendencies

  • Film, code and distribute practice and game tapes to coaching staff

  • Maintain current video and computer hardware, advise department on existing equipment and possible future upgrades

  • Transport and set up video equipment for meeting, practices and games - home and away

  • Liaison for Miami Women’s Basketball for ACC and NCAA needs
