The United States Air Force Academy Athletics Department seeks highly qualified applicants for the position of Head Coach, Women’s Volleyball. This is a full-time position, and reports jointly to the Director of Athletics, CEO of the Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation.
The Head Volleyball Coach is responsible for leading, instructing and providing coaching expertise to Division 1 competitive athletes for the Women's Volleyball Program. Promote Academic excellence and Character Development to future Air Force Officers while Competing for Championships in the Mountain West Conference. Assess and recruit high end academic and athletic candidates for entry into one of the most prestigious institutions in the country. Position will also perform duties as Head Coach to include but not limited to Travel logistics, maintaining supplies/equipment, oversight of student athlete performance in and out of the athletic area. Will manage and instruct competitive athletic program, perform assigned departmental duties, promote professional activities in area of athletic specialization.
Successful candidates will be those that have extensive knowledge of NCAA Division I guidelines for eligibility/recruiting, demonstrated experience and success in coaching Collegiate Women's Volleyball. Essential qualities expected of every staff member include the personal attributes of integrity, cooperation, initiative, and organizational management. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate demonstrated excellence in developing character leadership qualities on and off the field.
REQUIREMENTS:
Specific Duties & Responsibilities. The Employee will accomplish the duties and responsibilities as the Head Volleyball Coach as agreed upon with the AFAAC CEO and AD. The Employee will fully support the mission and objectives of the Air Force Academy, Department of Athletics and the AFAAC. The Employee will help direct and be responsible for the operation of the U.S. Air Force Academy Intercollegiate Volleyball Program, to include, but not be limited to, the following:
Base salary range: $110,000 -$150,000. Salary based on extensive and successful Division 1 experience coaching Women's Volleyball.

USAFA, located just north of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is an undergraduate institution that awards the Bachelor of Science degree as part of its mission to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers of character, motivated to lead in the United States Air Force and in service to our nation. Applications are invited from candidates who can contribute to this mission by interacting with cadets, both in and out of the classroom, as instructors and mentors. The student body consists of approximately 4,000 men and women representing every state and several foreign countries. The Academy faculty is an integrated group of military and civilian educators. The curriculum includes core academic and professional courses, and 27 disciplinary and interdisciplinary majors.
