Description

Central Penn College is seeking a volunteer baseball assistant coach for the upcoming season. Central Penn College is a member of the USCAA and Eastern States Athletic Conference that competes on a national level for small colleges. This position oversees all aspects of the baseball program and is committed to adhering to all rules and regulations of Central Penn College, the athletic department, and the USCAA.  The volunteer assistant coach is also responsible for monitoring the academic progress of the baseball student athletes in addition to assisting with recruiting high school and transfer students for the baseball program and maintaining a healthy roster size.  This role will also help coordinate with the planning of the program schedule, facilities, games, and events.  This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have:

• Previous college or high school coaching experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required. 
• Previous baseball playing experience preferred, at the collegiate level.
• Experience recruiting student athletes is a plus but not required.
• Valid PA driver’s license.
