The Employee will accomplish the duties and responsibilities as the Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach as agreed upon with the CEO, AD and Head Women’s Basketball Coach. The Employee will fully support the mission and objectives of the Air Force Academy, Department of Athletics and the AFAAC. The Employee will help direct and be responsible for the operation of the U.S. Air Force Academy Intercollegiate Women’s Basketball Program, to include, but not limited to the following:

The Employee will fully support the mission and objectives of the Air Force Academy, Department of Athletics and the AFAAC. The Employee will help direct and be responsible for the operation of the U.S. Air Force Academy Intercollegiate Women’s Basketball Program, to include, but not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the head coach in developing, managing, and directing the successful athletic program of the varsity Women’s Basketball team.
Assist the head coach with all aspects of the team and team development including training, competing, and scheduling. Coaching and providing individual instruction to all members of the varsity Women’s Basketball team.
Assist with the recruitment of the best available cadet candidates as directed by the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and consistent with NCAA rules and institutional policies.
Organize and be present at all related varsity practices and contests.
Serve on national committees if the opportunity arises.
Assist with organizing and administering AFAAC sponsored sports camps and clinics for Women’s Basketball, as separately negotiated.
Assist The Head Coach in coordinating travel arrangements including hotel reservations, booking transportation, organizing team meals.
Work cooperatively with campus representatives and establish and maintain an appropriate relationship with the Prep School Athletic Department. Maintain good relations outside the Sports and Fitness Division and Athletic Department to develop and sustain positive experiences academically and socially for student-athletes.
Collaborate cooperatively with the Athletic Director and Head Coach to perform other duties as assigned.
