Compensation: $5,000 to $5,000 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY
The Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Coach across all facets
of the program. This dynamic position involves comprehensive involvement in both the in-season and off-
season activities, including specialized individual training, strategic game management, active participation in
recruiting efforts, hands-on coaching, and diverse administrative responsibilities delegated by the Head Coach.
Night and weekend commitments are integral, as well as overnight travel to ensure participation in away games
and tournaments.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Demonstrate flexibility in managing administrative duties such as scheduling practices and games,
coordinating travel arrangements, and adjusting to changing circumstances while maintaining team
records and statistics.
• Collaborate with the head coach to develop game strategies, prepare players through scouting reports,
film study, and on-court drills.
• Aid
in
identifying and evaluating prospective student-athletes, attending recruiting events,
communicating with recruits and their families, and assisting in the recruitment process.
• Demonstrate leadership in the sports program in alignment with departmental and university guidelines
and policies.
• Attend all athletic practices and games in person.
• Execute additional tasks as directed, whether formally or informally, verbally or in written form.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• “Non-essential” If a duty takes up less than 5% of the employees’ time and is not viewed as a critical
function it is likely considered “non-essential” within the context of the ADA. These duties could be
reassigned to another employee in order to allow a disabled individual to hold the position.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• Licenses/Certifications: N/A
• Experience/Skills
o PREFERRED Years of experience: Coaching experience and/or playing of at least three
years, preferable college, or high school varsity.

regulatory requirements, and maintaining confidentiality.

ADDITIONAL JOB-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). PREFFERED familiarity with Synergy
and Fast Draw.
WORK CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
• Lifting/Moving: Up to 50 pounds
• Physical: Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
Environment: Work is normally performed in an indoor/outdoor setting.
