USC Athletics is looking to hire a Women’s Basketball General Manager/Special Assistant to Head Coach to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. Reporting directly to the Head Coach, USC is seeking a dynamic thinker and self-starter to play a crucial role in helping our program to remain an industry leader in a changing collegiate athletics landscape. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes preferred.
This position serves a diverse student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for historically under-served populations, and is expected to contribute to the program’s diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts. Managing portfolio of NIL deals for players and creating opportunities to align USC and player deals where appropriate.
Serving as key contact for players, players families and alumni as it relates to navigating NIL deals in conjunction with USC.
Creating and leading strategic planning around player financial management and helping to navigate newly created NCAA policies.
Leading initiatives in community and alumni outreach.
Serving as liaison to key stakeholders and special guests/celebrities at home and away games.
Event coordination and execution for recruiting, team, and donor events.
Promotes an environment that fosters inclusive relationships and creates unbiased opportunities for contributions through ideas, words, and actions that uphold principles of the USC Code of Ethics.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree in a business-related field preferred) and have three years of experience (five years preferred). Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Ability to acquire competence in applying general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of general administrative services.
Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.
Driving is considered an essential job duty, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Salary Range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
