Women’s Flag Football Coach
Franklin College is seeking a part-time Women’s Flag Football Coach to provide leadership, organization, and
administration for the College’s Women’s Flag Football program. The coach will oversee all aspects of the
program, including recruiting, player development, practice and competition preparation, scheduling, and
program administration. The coach will also support the academic and personal development of student-athletes
while creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive team environment that promotes sportsmanship,
integrity, competitive excellence, and academic success. This position plays an important role in supporting
Franklin College’s mission and values by fostering leadership, teamwork, and a positive student-athlete
experience.

The Women’s Flag Football Coach will direct all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scheduling, practice

recruit and retain qualified student-athletes who demonstrate academic potential, strong character, and the
ability to contribute positively to the Franklin College community.
The coach will develop and conduct organized, safe, and effective practices focused on skill development,
teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive success. The coach will supervise, mentor, evaluate volunteer
coaches as assigned and will coordinate team travel in accordance with Franklin College policies and procedures.
Supporting student-athlete success is an important responsibility of this position. The coach will promote
academic achievement, retention, and graduation through regular communication and collaboration with faculty
and campus support services. The coach will also develop seasonal competition schedules in collaboration with
the Director of Athletics.
The coach will manage the program’s operating budget and maintain accurate inventories of equipment, uniforms,
and supplies. Responsibilities will include recommending equipment purchases and ensuring the proper care,
maintenance, and security of program assets.
The coach will ensure compliance with all applicable Franklin College policies and procedures, conference
requirements, and rules and regulations governing collegiate women’s flag football. The coach will promote a
culture of respect, inclusion, and sportsmanship while fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with fundraising initiatives and community engagement activities that
support the growth and sustainability of the Women’s Flag Football program; participating in departmental events,
game management responsibilities, admissions and recruiting events, and other athletic department initiatives;
representing Franklin College professionally and building positive relationships with prospective students,
families, alumni, community members, and supporters; participating in professional development opportunities
and required institutional training; supporting the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Franklin College and the
Department of Athletics; and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required, along with previous coaching and/or playing experience in football or flag football.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills and the
ability to recruit and mentor student athletes. The position requires the ability to work evenings and weekends and
to travel as needed. A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet Franklin College’s driving requirements are also
required.
Preferred Qualifications
Collegiate coaching or competitive playing experience and prior experience recruiting student-athletes are
preferred. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification are preferred, or the ability to obtain certification is required.
