POSITION:

WOMENS SOCCER ASSISTANT COACH : The Department of Athletics invites applications for a part-time, non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Coach within Collective Bargaining Unit 3. The assistant coach will assist in the everyday operations of the program which may include: assisting with practices, games, film breakdown, scouting, recruiting and academic progress, assist with fundraising activities, planning travel accommodations, complying with NCAA, conference and University rules and policies as well as other duties assigned by the head coach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree required is required. Other minimum qualifications include: Experience at the four-year level of coaching or playing soccer, excellent oral and written communication skills are required and a valid driver's license is required for travel, must pass defensive driving and DMV check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A potential candidate’s consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of: Playing experience, preferably at the four-year level, Ability to organize and administer practice sessions, ability to navigate social media, demonstrated ability to provide competent support in the administrative requirements of a soccer program (travel coordination, reconciliation of documents, scheduling, and recruiting), First Aid and CPR certified. Knowledge of statistics and match strategies, ability to demonstrate all the skills taught in this program, working knowledge of computer, video and editing systems and experience building relationships and contacts with soccer clubs on the west coast.
