Job Summary
The Women’s Soccer Coach Intern will be responsible to assist the head coach in all aspects of the program, including recruit qualified student-athletes; scout opponents, breakdown and edit video, assist in practice sessions and in-game duties; counsel student-athletes in a positive manner; and adhere to all
NCAA
, conference and university rules and regulations. The position is a one-year appointment with the possibility of reappointment up to a total of three years. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under
FLSA
regulations.
Specific Responsibilities
Assist with the development of the soccer team
Assist in gameday management
Assist in identifying and recruiting qualified prospective student-athletes
Assist with designing pre-season, in-season and off-season training schedules
Assist in maintaining and continuing cultivation of alumni engagement
Maintain working knowledge of
NCAA
, Landmark Conference, and Susquehanna University policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
Strong organizational, time management, oral, written, teaching, and computer skills, including social media.
Detail oriented.
Ability to set priorities, advocate team concepts, work collaboratively with faculty and staff.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience
Playing or coaching experience on a collegiate level preferred.
Additional Requirements:
This position requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to drive and qualify under the university’s insurance carrier when driving a university and/or leased vehicle.
CPR

AED
and First Aid certification is preferred.
This role is identified as one that includes significant interaction with students and/or campus activities, and/or has oversight for disciplinary procedures. Therefore, you are considered a Campus Security Authority (
CSA
) and required to report any Clery Act crime disclosed to you and remain compliant with annual
CSA
training requirements.
Physical Demand
