The Xavier University Athletics Department is seeking a Head Coach for Women’s Soccer.  The Department of Athletics sponsors 19 sports programs with more than 330 student-athletes, and is a member of the Big East Conference.  The Women’s Soccer Head Coach is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the Women’s Soccer Program.

Specific job responsibilities include the following:

• Develop and oversee the Women’s Soccer program, including all administrative operations, team travel, ordering equipment and apparel, budget planning and management;
• Coordinate all aspects of daily practices and coaching of all competitions;
• Create and maintain team culture;
• Recruit prospective student-athletes;
• Work closely with support areas of sports medicine, strength and conditioning, academic support;
• Build and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the community to generate interest in and support of the program.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
• College women’s soccer coaching experience;
• Possess a philosophy of coaching and education that supports the mission of Xavier University and its Athletic Department; and
• Knowledge of, and a history of, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations;
• Possess a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements for insurability under Xavier’s University’s policy; and
• Current CPR/AED certification.
