Women's Volleyball Coach
The Athletic Department seeks to provide programs and leadership to enable Catholic University to be a model NCAA Division III institution in academic and athletic excellence. The head women’s volleyball coach leads and directs an intercollegiate NCAA Division III volleyball program and duties include but are not limited to: effective programmatic vision, planning and implementation; all coaching and instruction; sound business and financial management; recruitment, supervision of assistant coaches; individual and team leadership and achievement; successful recruitment of student-athletes and assistance with programs for their retention and graduation; fund and friend-raising; compliance with national, local, university, NCAA and conference laws, by-laws, regulations, standards and codes. Plan events and participate in fundraising campaigns for the team and department. Create and grow relationships to be leveraged in conjunction with the Athletics Advancement professionals with the goal of raising team and department funds.
*The ability to drive a vehicle (campus or non-campus) on behalf of university business.

Coaching, Training, Instruction: Perform as a professional educator and role model to enable individual students to develop as student-athletes and to work together as a successful, competitive intercollegiate team.
Recruitment: Lead the recruitment of student-athletes who demonstrate the potential to be successful academically and by competing in the volleyball program.
Academic Oversight: Mentor and monitor the academic success of the student-athletes.
Budget Planning, Fiscal Management and Travel Coordination: Provide sound business and financial management in areas including but not limited to expenses, operating budgets, procurement of goods, services and equipment while also organizing and supervision of all team related travel.
Compliance/Certification: Ensure compliance with national, local, university, NCAA, Landmark Conference, regulations, standards and codes.
Supervision: Recruit, supervise, train and evaluate assistant coaching staff.
Special Events and Alumni Engagement: Provide support for large departmental events (i.e., senior athlete banquet) while also consistently connecting with program and institutional alums to maintain sound relationships between all parties.
A Bachelor's Degree and must have proven success coaching at the collegiate and/or club level.Proficiency in computer software applications: word, excel, office, etc.
U.S. Volleyball CAP accreditation preferred. Knowledge of Front Rush (or similar) recruiting database tools, and relevant film break-down programs.
Reasonable knowledge of various social media platforms in order to help promote the volleyball program and communicate with a wide variety of constituents.
Possession of current and valid U.S. driver’s license appropriate to the type of university vehicle and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) as stipulated in the Vehicle Guidelines and Procedures Manual administered through the office of Environmental Health and Safety. Annual clearance of MVR check through the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.
