Head Coach, Men's and Women's Wrestling
Assist the Head Coach in all areas of managing the college’s wrestling team.
• Assist in the coordination of recruiting efforts and manage a recruiting territory – handling all aspects of recruiting for prospects within that territory. This will include travel.
• Assist the Head Coach in the coordination of alumni relations and fundraising events.
• Manage student-athlete academic schedules, study sessions and housing assignments, and closely monitor academic progress.
• Assist the Head Coach in the coordination and management of practice and competition schedule.
• Attend all wrestling competitions and drive college vehicles to and from competition sites.
• Assist in the management of social media platforms for the college wrestling team.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of a detailed strength and conditioning plan.
• Plan and run team practices.
• Coordinate campus visits with the Admissions Office.
• Duties will correlate to the
MBA
degree and compliment coursework in management of the wrestling program along with coordination and oversight of student-athletes’ everyday responsibilities.
• Duties will correlate to the
MLD
degree and compliment coursework in leadership of the athletic program, management of schedules, and coordination and oversight of student-athletes’ everyday responsibilities.

Required:
Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College.
Wrestling player or coach experience, or athletic administrative experience.
Current
CPR
/
AED
and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Able and willing to travel as needed, including nights and weekends.
Preferred:
Experience in college athletics strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred.
The programs that best complement this position are:
Master of Arts in Sports Leadership
20 hours per week during the academic year, excluding academic breaks
