SUMMARY OF POSITION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main responsibility of this position will be to work closely with our Athletic Administration and programs on day-to-day functions and operations.
Position Description & Details: - Work closely with the athletic department programs to create social media used for internal and external messaging and promotions. - Assist the Athletic Administration with covering BSC athletic events, such as BSC athletic programs, program-specific events, and more. - Assist with event and game day operations not limited to game day set up, game day tear down, fan engagement, and social media. - Assist Athletic Administration with day-to-day office tasks. - Maintains good public relations while working with student, faculty, and staff. - Supports innovation, creativity and ideas to enhance processes in the Athletic department and college. - Performs other duties as required or assigned. Minimum Requirements: - Must be enrolled in at least six credits in fall term and six credits in spring term and maintain this status throughout the academic year. - A strong understanding of various social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, etc.) - The ability to attend BSC scheduled athletic events during the daytime, night, and weekends as required. - Strong communication skills: Both written and verbal communication skills - The ability to effectively convey messages, engage with followers, and write compelling captions and posts. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects. - The ability to work independently and handle interruptions. - The ability to lift to 30 pounds (essential function). - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse personalities.
