The University of Arizona Campus Health Service is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of on-call Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Technician II). This position will be responsible for providing on-call radiology services to the Campus Health Service (CHS) and the Athletic department's medical clinics. The CHS was the first fully accredited college health service in the nation and in the Princeton Review, the CHS has been ranked in the top 4% for Best Health Services for the past eight years. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide on-call radiology services as needed.Performs radiologic procedures as requested by CHS and the Athletic department's medical providers.Processes the radiographs and presents them for viewing by provider.Enters all demographics into Smart CR.Practice within clinical skill and competencies.Consult with other CHS health care providers as needed.Additional duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Skill in using an electronic medical records system.Skill in routine diagnostic radiology procedures, no contrast studies, or special procedures.Possess knowledge of computers.Skill in operation of radiology equipment.Ability to effectively communicate.Able to make decisions and work on your own.
High School diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required. Two year training program in an approved school of radiology technology.At least 3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician.Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Licensed by the State of Arizona Medical Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners.
Ambulatory health clinic experience. Experience working in a college health setting.
