JOB SUMMARY
This position will coordinate and provide assistance in carrying out administrative service for the men’s basketball program. Report to Director of Men’s Basketball Administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include: assist the men’s basketball program with overall office management, planning and public relations; handle sensitive and confidential information, providing crucial support to confidential processes such as contract negotiation, renewal, and other sensitive negotiations within the program; carrying out special assignments; participating in the development of procedures; consulting with other University offices and departments; organizing and coordinating conferences, seminars, public appearances and other events; ensure travel arrangements are made, handle travel reimbursements, track all related expenses and reimbursements; composes, prepares and/or edits correspondence and reports that requires thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and data sources; serves as a resource to students, staff and others regarding policies and procedures governing the Division; serves as a liaison through personal contacts and communications with other University offices, media, alumni, corporate partners and the general public and performs related duties as assigned by the men’s basketball program.

Bachelor’s degree; excellent interpersonal, organizational, teamwork and collaboration skills; Ability to work effectively with Division/University staff and other individuals and groups; an understanding of the correction application of NCAA regulations; and an ability to work with a fast-paced team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working for a Division I men's basketball program; experience working with concur; experience working with Teamworks; NCAA postseason experience; event planning and management skills; and possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with that of the Division of Athletics and its men's basketball program.
