SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Admissions for Rosemont College, the Admissions Counselor carries out all the recruiting responsibilities within a designated population. For this specific position, the admissions counselor would be responsible for the Athletic Recruit funnel. The job of the Admission Counselor is to build relationships with prospective students, families, and college search influencers with the aim of supporting Rosemont’s Enrollment goals. This includes:

• Pipeline Cultivation & Management:
  1. Proactively identifying top prospects and develop personalized cultivation plans. You should really get to know these prospective students and families—things like knowing their strengths, passions, dreams, and fears. Hey, even knowing their pets names is important.
  2. Respond to all forms of initial inquiry (phone, referral, website and mail) from prospective students and families in a proactive and personalized way –educating them about what makes Rosemont unique, providing guidance on the college search process, application information and assistance Taking steps to get applications completed (transcripts, FAFSA, etc), providing information on how to deposit, and answering any questions on next steps once an applicant has deposited.
  3. Develop relationship with high school counselors and use various scheduling systems (Hobsons, etc.) to locate, register for, and attend high school in-person/virtual visits
  4. Conceptual and participate in on-campus events that include Open House(s), Information Sessions, Admitted Student Days, CARES Day, and daily campus tours
  5. Being available when families and students are free. This includes work a minimum of one Saturday a month and one evening (11AM to 7PM) a week
  6. Focus on various initiatives to grow recruitment, specifically for prospective students interested in athletics
  7. Create and utilize reporting tools to gather and share information about inquiry and applicant pool
• Become a Rosemont College Expert & Advocate
  1. Develop a thorough understanding of the mission of the College, its program offerings and all aspects of student life on campus.
  2. Grow partnership with various departments at Rosemont College, including marketing, student services, resident life, Dean’s office, Athletics, along with faculty and staff within the college.
  3. Vested interest in conducting research and gaining insight on how higher education is changing that can assist in generating new ideas for partnerships with internal and external organizations
  4. Using the information you know about Rosemont and tailor it to each student and family you meet with

Other duties related to the recruitment of students as designated by the Executive Director of Admissions and/or the Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in CRM systems, specifically Salesforce and Jenzebar
• Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred but not required
• Preference to candidate who has experience in athletic recruitment
• Preference to candidate who has experience in Salesforce and/or Jenzebar (CRM systems)
• Must possess excellent written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organization and customer service skills. (i.e., ability to deal effectively with others; speak professionally on the phone, etc.)
• Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and attain growth-oriented goals
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft® Office Products (especially Word and Excel
