Position Summary:
The intercollegiate athletics program is an integral part of the university striving to achieve the same standards of excellence in athletics that exist within academic programs. The program is concerned with the physical and mental welfare of the student and strives to ensure that every student-athlete has the opportunity to succeed academically and obtain a degree. Sport programs are a vital function of the University at large.
The position is responsible for all aspects of the Athletics Strategic Communications unit with primary focuses in the following areas: media relations, Internet/multimedia, publications, broadcasting, social media, budget management and staff supervision.
Job Duties:
Oversee all aspects of the Athletics Strategic Communications unit, with primary focuses in the following areas: media relations, statistics, publications, Internet, multimedia, and social media. Responsible for budget management and staff supervision including one full-time staff and students. (20%)
Media Relations/Statistician: Serve as primary contact for designated sports; oversee media relations for all sports.

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
