Job Duties
Responsible for direct oversight of daily general operations of Athletics sport and special events operations and facilities including on-campus facility and grounds maintenance; event operations for all home University of Memphis athletic events, including but not limited to facility setup and breakdown, managing security, custodial, and student staff, liaison to visiting teams, coaches and game officials, maintaining appropriate staffing levels and recommending improvement to overall event operations.Regularly attend athletics events to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures are being followed.
Oversee athletic department facility schedules for practices, competitions, camps, and outside rentals. Responsible for ensuring all University protocols are followed as spaces are booked to internal and external parties.
Coordinate with appropriate University administration offices, and execute facility planning and maintenance of athletics-controlled spaces as well as resolve problems in daily operations.Maintain key control protocol with the Physical Plant Department on behalf of Athletics.
Collaborate with the Associate Athletic Director on capital projects and monitoring the events and facilities budget.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
