Description
The Assistant Athletic Director for Communications is responsible for dissemination of information pertaining to the promotion and performance of the athletic department. The Assistant AD for Athletic Communications will serve as the primary communications liaison for all 15 intercollegiate sports and spirit squads, including daily contact with coaches and student-athletes; while responsible for the compilation of statistics, records, development of story ideas and interviews. This position also serves as the primary contact for website content, video production and social media content. The Assistant Athletic Director for Communications acts as the public relations agent for the Athletic Department internally and externally.

Responsible for the supervision and mentoring of full time athletic communications assistant, graduate assistant as well as part-time and student staff.

Work Hours
FT hours vary based on student-athlete support needs and event schedules; weekends, evenings, and some holiday periods required.
