Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Associate AD – External Affairs and Revenue Generation, the Assistant AD – Creative Services serves as the designer and producer for the department’s digital content and publications.
Job Description:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Creation and effective execution of overall content and video production strategy across all aspects of the athletics department.
Responsible for creating dynamic and engaging content and organization of media and video assets. Be a leader in graphic design, video editing, and overall brand vision.
Generate innovative ideas to increase web traffic, direction, and input on all equipment and web and digital services.
Provide oversight and strategic direction of all videography and graphic design endeavors including, features, spots, team media shoots, interviews scoreboard in-game production, and more.
Oversee quality control of all digital spaces, and ensure the cultivation of fan engagement on all social media sites including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
Capability to develop, create and manage the production of creative assets, including graphics, GIFs, hype videos, and short-form social media content.
Assist with production of video and graphic content for athletics productions, athletic communications and marketing (video boards, promotional videos, team entrances, special events), and social media. This includes coverage of games, practices and special events, and personnel scheduling.
Assist with Archiving and footage management.
Experience producing a variety of videos.
Attend athletic events to capture and build creative assets to be used to further promote various sports in-game and throughout the season.
Assist in video creation for marketing, sponsorship, and communication collateral.
Knowledge of basic camera shooting, editing, and settings (White balance, ISO, aperture, etc…).
Knowledge of Blackmagic switcher, Daktronics, and 3Play systems.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines accordingly.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Southern Conference, institutional and departmental rules.
Other duties as assigned by the Associate AD for Athletic Communications and Senior Associate AD – External Affairs and Revenue Generation
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience in related field
Experience in live video production, working knowledge of creative software including Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom etc.)
Experience with cinema-style and DSLR/mirrorless cameras.
Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High level of creativity and attention to detail.
