Position Summary:
The Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Game Operations oversees all aspects of event management
and monitors all athletic facilities, recommending maintenance, repair, and renovation, in coordination with the
university facilities department. This person will serve as the primary game administrator for all home athletic
events. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to communicating with officials and game staff;
coordinating game day logistics and set-up/break-down; and greeting game officials. Management
responsibilities include supervision, training, hiring, and scheduling of part-time and student employees serving
at the facilities in both daily and event positions, overseeing daily team usage of the facilities and managing
event coordination for athletic contests and special events at the facilities. Athletics staff are expected to
maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, and uphold Western Oregon University policies and
procedures, including but not limited to Title IX and FERPA.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or Proven Work Experience
• Oregon Driver’s License
• First Aid/CPR & AED Certification
• 1-2 years’ experience with Game Operations
• 1-2 years’ experience with Field Maintenance
• 1-2 years’ experience Supervising student employees
• 6-12 months experience in Facility Scheduling
