Job Description:
The purpose of this position is the oversight and direction of the Department's S.A.IN.T.S. program. This person will have direct responsibility for overseeing the department's academic success program to include liaising with the Office of Academic Affairs, Registrar, each academic school as well with specific areas in Student Life that deals with student well-being. The person will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic approaches to enhancing the non-athletic success of the student athletes (e.g. educational programming, tutoring schedules, personal development and working with coaches to minimize athletic impact on academic opportunities). The individual will be responsible for some NCAA reporting. The person will work directly with select sports, which may vary from year to year.
Annual Salary: $59,500.00

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, 1-3 years' relevant experience. The Assistant Athletic Director for Advising must be proficient in the college's information system?banner?and be able to extract the appropriate reports needed to access the academic status of student athletes. In addition, the individual must have knowledge of NCAA regulations and of various educational techniques and strategies that promote and enhance student engagement. An understanding of statistical measurement of success related to student engagement particularly the National Survey of Student Engagement.
