This position oversees the Department of Athletics facilities and venues as well as the management of related projects to include, but not limited to preventative maintenance, repair, improvements, renovations and new construction
Primary accountabilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day building and venue oversight, pre-season facility preparations, repairs and emergency response coordination for athletics facilities and venues. Performs regular inspections to determine the need of maintenance or repairs. Assesses, coordinates and monitors all maintenance and custodial work performed by Office of Facilities Management and Safety for athletics facilities and venues.. Manage the performance and documentation of preventative routine maintenance. Manage facility renovation, remodeling, and development. Collaborate with campus entities on construction requests. Coordinate university processes as it relates to planning, programming, estimating, design, selection of contractor, construction, and completion of both renovation and new construction. Develops relationships with and acts as departmental liaison between senior management and designated contractor vendors. Assist with the planning and management of budget and schedule as well as any repercussions of variances. Develops and implements building policies and procedures and risk management procedures. Administer the department’s facility access control requirements for keys and card access.
Coordinate with Sport Operations staff to ensure appropriate communication and collaboration with sports programs and event management staff on the expectations relating to athletics facilities for game day events. Serve as departmental team leader to the Office of Facilities Management and Safety and Office of Information Technology. Provide professional level direction and analysis for all aspects of operations, projects, financial activities and planning.
Research and submit recommendations for equipment repair, replacement and/or purchase. Responsible for unit purchasing activities, including contract administration for licensed and approved vendors, facilities management services, general purchase orders including bid processes and procurement card activities and reconciliations. Establishes methods for cost efficiency and cost reduction, develops cost analysis and efficiency planning, and determines budget needs for future needs.
Collaborate with the Deputy Athletics Director and Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director/
CFAO
to identify and address both long term and short term improvement planning and implementation of the facility master plan.
Bachelor’s degree
At least one (1) year of related work experience

The target salary range for this posting is $44,592 – $48,129 commensurate with the selected candidate’s education and experience.
