The Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine & Head Athletic Trainer serves as the University's chief healthcare professional for student-athletes and provides strategic oversight of all sports medicine operations. This position is responsible for the leadership, direction, and administration of athletic healthcare services, ensuring the safety, well-being, and holistic health of student/athletes while maintaining full compliance with NCAA Division II, conference, and University standards.
Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics, this role blends clinical expertise, administrative leadership, and institutional collaboration, making it ideal for a highly motivated professional seeking to advance a progressive and comprehensive sports medicine program.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, NATA certification as an Athletic Trainer, and a minimum of three (3) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specific to this position.
Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must have or obtain AED/CPR certification, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred qualifications include five (5) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specific to this position.
