The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Athletic Director, NCAA Compliance, Intercollegiate Athletics [R0144209].

ROLE of the POSITION

The position reports directly to the Associate Athletics Director, Compliance & Student Services and is responsible for assisting and managing the day-to-day operations of the NCAA compliance office, through interpreting and making determinations on matters related to compliance, monitoring various compliance related systems, mechanisms, process and enforcing NCAA regulations as they pertain to Division I Athletics.

Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison for financial aid. This includes working with coaches, student-athletes, the office of financial aid, the cashiers office, and others to assist in the execution of all items related to athletics aid and other applicable regulations of NCAA Bylaw 15.

This position will supervise select Graduate Assistants and interns. Supervision includes assigning specific duties, training and evaluating. Additionally, this position monitors and maintains UNLV's compliance with NCAA rules and regulations primarily related to financial aid. This position serves as the athletic department liaison to the financial aid office, cashiering, and housing.

This position should have strong knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires aBachelor’s Degreefrom an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) anda minimum of one (1) year of comparable, professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
