The Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Fan Experience serves to increase the awareness of the athletics department on-campus and within the greater Upstate region through various marketing initiatives, branding efforts, game day promotions, and corporate sponsorship agreements.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree in sports marketing, advertising, sports management or other related fields and 1 year of experience in collegiate sports marketing or related field. A master’s degree and two years of experience in collegiate sports Marketing is preferred.

Good driving record and a successful background check is required. Able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends. Able to travel to out-of-town meetings and conferences. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. Strong computer skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. Off campus meetings with various constituents.

Design and execute promotional plans for USC Upstate home athletic events with an emphasis on engagement in-venue through innovative fan experience and on social media to reach the Upstate student body and surrounding community. Priority given to men’s and women’s basketball.
