• Manage the premium seating program for football, basketball, and baseball, including sales, marketing, and game day operations.
• Plan and implement strategies to enhance premium seating sales to maximize new and existing ticket and donation revenue.
• Maintain a comprehensive communication plan and calendar for premium seat holders, working in collaboration with communications and marketing.
• Strategically plan and execute game day hospitality operations for all premium spaces in collaboration with athletics fan engagement and hospitality.
• Create, manage and execute various stewardship initiatives for donors and premium seating participants.
• Oversee premium inventory, premium experience platform, and serve as liaison to third-party premium sales team. In collaboration with athletics ticketing,establish tracking systems to monitor progress against goals, produce progress reports as required.
• Provide pricing recommendations and conduct necessary research.
• Serve as an internal leader and content expert on the premium seating program, training staff to present opportunities to prospective donors.
• Prospect, cultivate, solicit, and steward premium seat season ticket holders.
• Assist athletics development officers in the solicitation of major gift level commitments for premium seating. Help to identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit prospective donors who have the capacity to make financial commitments of $100,000+ to Vanderbilt Athletics.
• Assists in the coordination of all game day activities related to premium seating at Vanderbilt University venues including but not limited to; security staff, ticketing, catering/concessions, facilities maintenance, and guest services.
• Manage contracts, billing, seat inventory, and related ticketing and parking.
• Troubleshoots patron issues and needs, working in partnership with athletics event management staff.
• Oversee third party rentals of premium spaces.
• Assist with other special events hosted by the department of athletics.
• Supervising and approve set ups for meetings, conferences, and banquets while providing guidance to the clients.
• Develop contract/handbook provisions, policies, and procedures for rentals.
• Coordinates small, local, and/or short-term business including but not limited to meetings, banquets, special events and public functions.

Supervisory Relationships:

This position will have supervisory responsibility for one Assistant Director and part-time staff. Reports administratively and functionally to the Associate Athletics Director of the National Commodore Club.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with increased responsibility is required.
• Evening and weekend work is required.
• A background in premium seating or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Leadership experience with setting and tracking annual goals
• Revenue generation experience and sales increase track record
• Ability to plan, articulate and implement a comprehensive premium seating program
• Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communications skills and the ability to articulate the needs, interests and accomplishments of Vanderbilt University
• Interpersonal skills and judgment suitable for exercising appropriate discretion and demeanor when dealing with alumni, parents, friends, and employees
• An ability to exercise good judgment in the handling of confidential information
• An ability to use current computer technology, such as Windows, Excel, Word, and Vanderbilt’s donor CRM and ticket management systems
• A proven record of achievement in revenue generation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, specifically in the areas of proposal and presentation development
• A demonstrated success in working across teams and disciplines – facilitating solutions, designing new ideas, and driving forward priorities
• An ability to perform in an intellectually rigorous and complex environment
• An ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to ever changing priorities are essential
