Essential Job Duties:
Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle
Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community
Perform other duties as assigned within the athletic department
Work Schedule:
Term: Year-round
Shift: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a two-hour lunch break. Regular evening and some weekend hours for contests; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors. Travel up to 1% of work schedule for event coverage, especially postseason events, which includes local (Twin Cities metro area) and national travel; overnight trips average 2 trips per year.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree; CSCCA Strength & Conditioning Coach certified (SCCC) or NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); possess and maintain current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications; maintain a valid driver’s license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record
Experience: 2+ years of strength and conditioning experience in either a professional, school, club or clinic setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree
Experience: Professional or college level strength and conditioning coaching experience; experience using TeamBuildr online training platform or similar software
Prerequisites:
Employment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check, which may include criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of a DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical. Whether a background check is deemed successfully completed will be at the sole discretion of St. Olaf College. Please note that St. Olaf College reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to conduct periodic background checks.
