Swarthmore College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer within the Department of Athletics, Physical Education & Recreation. The Assistant Athletic Trainer must have earned a degree in athletic training; have NATA BOC Certification; be certified as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) in the state of Pennsylvania. A master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field is preferred. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will draw upon their specialized education and training to provide preventative, rehabilitative, and emergency medical care for assigned teams/student-athletes in various settings—including before/during/after practices and contests as well as while managing athletic training room hours. The position’s responsibilities are performed with a high level of autonomy and discretion. This is an exempt, benefits eligible, 10-month position (paid over 12 months).

A certified athletic trainer who: has experience as an ATC, preferably within a team setting or at the collegiate level; can provide exceptional care to student-athletes; will work collaboratively as part of the sports medicine/athletic training team; communicates proactively and appropriately with various groups; is committed to supporting and fostering an inclusive environment; and, is able to work independently and effectively.
