The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in the full operation of the sports medicine program. Saint Mary’s College is an all-women’s institution that offers varsity sports programs in basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball all of which compete in the NCAA Division III, Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). In the 2024-2025 school year, Saint Mary’s College will be adding STUNT as our ninth varsity sport. This 10-month position will run from August to May.

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will serve as the designated Athletics Healthcare Administrator (AHCA), and assist with the prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of varsity athletic injuries. This position will work with the Head Athletic Trainer and Team Physician to help provide general healthcare to all varsity sports teams at Saint Mary’s College.

Apply NowThe Assistant Athletic Trainer will aid in the coordination and screening process of student-athlete pre-participation physicals, baseline testing, and any other pertinent medical documents on all student-athletes, and collaborate on the development of the appropriate medical questionnaire and pre-participation documents for our student-athletes. Examine to ensure all athletic participants provide information verifying that they are covered by medical insurance.
