28 hours per week, part-time assistant athletic trainer for the Dance Medicine and Wellness Facility. Provide Injury Evaluation, Diagnosis, Treatment, Rehabilitation, Conditioning Assessment and Conditioning Programs for: Dance Majors (BFA, Ed, BA), MDT Majors, Dance Faculty, Primary Performance Company Members, and Secondary Performance Company members. Emergency assessment and care and appropriate referral as needed to injured dancers in dance classes. Provide evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and performance decisions during performances. Teach/supervise Athletic Training graduate students. Help maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility. Assist the Director of Dance Medicine and Wellness Facility as needed.

Teach classes within the Dance department as requested by faculty

Employee Class: 3/4 Time (28 hour)
Work Location: Provo Campus
Environment: Rare presence of abnormal variations in temperature and exposure to outside conditions
Physical Exam Required: N
Physical Exam Details: Exposure to potential illnesses (i.e. flu, colds, strep throat, COVID-19, staph, other viral and bacterial infections), up to 8 hours and up to 5 days per week.
Face masks, face shields, gloves used (as needed). Exposure to blood and other bodily fluids, up to 15 minutes and up to 2-3 times per week. Face masks, face shields, gloves used (as needed).
Exposure to various cleaning chemicals used for sanitation in the facility up to1-2 minutes and up to 15-20 times per day. Face masks, gloves used (as needed).

Approximate Starting Salary: $21.50 - 27.75/hour
