competes in The Summit League for all sports except Football (Missouri Valley Football Conference), Wrestling (Big 12 Conference), and Equestrian (National Collegiate Equestrian Association). This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
To assist and/or coordinate athletic training services for assigned sports through the athletic training room; including prevention, evaluation, management, rehabilitation, referral, and administration so as to facilitate safe and expeditious return to activity for South Dakota State University student-athletes.
We offer a generous retirement plan that includes 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and eleven paid holidays. Relocation benefits are available per university’s guidelines.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Athletic Administration or Sports Science by appointment date;
At least one year of experience with intercollegiate athletics or clinical setting (an equivalent combination will be considered);
Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills;
Demonstrated organization and time management skills;
Demonstrated computer application skills.
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, or Administration;
At least one year of experience supervising athletic training students;
Division I intercollegiate experience;
Experience providing athletic training services to the sport of woman’s basketball;
Eligible for state license in South Dakota;
Experience with team travel responsibilities;
Experience with supply ordering/monitoring;
Knowledge and/or understanding of medical records following
HIPAA
,
FERPA
and Sportsware; and
Knowledge and/or understanding of medical insurance.
