Short Description

Frostburg State University (FSU), Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time exempt, Assistant Athletic Trainer position. Salary commensurate with skills and experience and includes the robust University System of Maryland benefits package options. *Recent or anticipated graduates are encouraged to apply.FSU boasts 25 varsity sports (11 men/14 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference. Our well-equipped facilities include a new training clinic with the latest therapeutic equipment, such as an underwater treadmill. Description of Ongoing/New Duties

Responsibilities:: This position reports to the Head Athletic Trainer and under supervision of the Team Physician, oversees the medical care and rehabilitation of FSU student-athletes. Assist with administrative duties as assigned and provide supervision over Athletic Training room operations and services. May serve as a preceptor for athletic training students. May be required to periodically serve as an instructor depending on institutional needs and workload. Other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree Ability to obtain NATABOC certification and Maryland Athletic Training licensure as condition of employment Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automatic External Defibrillator Certification

Preferred Qualifications

One year of related work experience
