Description
Erskine College seeks a Full-Time Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2026-27 Athletic Year. Primary
responsibilities include providing athletic training services to Erskine College Athletes. The candidate will
also be expected to aid in the daily operation of the Erskine College Athletic Training Facility. This
includes maintaining supply inventory, maintaining athlete medical records on ATS injury tracking
software, and other duties as assigned. The candidate will be expected to act as a preceptor for the
Health Science undergraduate program. The candidate is expected to uphold and agree with the mission
statement of the college.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Degree from a CAATE-accredited institution
• Master’s degree in athletic training or related field is preferred
• Entry Level to 1+ years of athletic training experience. Experience at the collegiate level preferred
• BOC certified
• SC state certification or eligible for certification in the state
• Certified as a professional rescuer by the American Heart Association or an equivalent certification
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting Head Athletic Trainer with:

Coverage of athletic practices and games, home and away, including set up, pre- and post-game
treatments, response to injuries through field evaluations and first aid (this will include weekends
and possible holidays) as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer
Responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for
student-athletes
Administer emergency care & first aid to injured athletes
Apply protective devices such as taping, bandaging, or bracing
Communicate with athletes and coaches about the injury and the athlete’s participation status
Arrange and communicate medical appointments between physicians and athletes
Assist in record keeping and documentation for files using Athletic Trainer System (ATS)
Assist with daily functions of the Athletic Training Room
Assist with supervision of student workers/interns in the Athletic Training Room

Compensation includes the following:
• Salary based on experience and qualifications. Minimum starting salary of $50,000
• Benefits package as provided by Erskine College
• Payment of national and state dues
• Funding for continuing education/professional development
