Expired Date: May 14, 2024Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Athletics, Sports Medicine invites applicants for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. The successful candidate will assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine will all aspect of Sports Medicine including injury prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning. Also, organize and administer day-to-day operations of the athletic training facilities including, but not limited to, maintaining medical records, supply inventory, assist in supervision of graduate assistants and clinically instruct undergraduate athletic training students in the Athletic Training Undergraduate Program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field from an accredited university.
Ability to travel and work nights/weekends as necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree from an accredited university.
Master’s degree in Athletic Training from an entry-level Master's program from an accredited university
2 years sports medicine experience.
Must maintain an understanding of and assure adherence to NCAA, Southland Conference, Institutional rules and Louisiana Board of Supervisors regulations.
Certified in Athletic Training by the board of certification.
Current Louisiana Athletic Training Licensure or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire date.
Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid.
Must provide copies of all certification documents.
Must be committed to working with diversity.
