Duties and Responsibilities
Providing forthe prevention, care, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries forNCAAIII program with 15 varsity intercollegiate teams.
Preparing for andprovidingcoverage for all home games and practices for 15 intercollegiate teams
Administering CPR, AED, and first-aid when necessary.
Administering emergency care as needed.
Coordinating treatment and rehabilitation for athletic injuries as needed.
Administering all records, screenings as needed andmaintainingaccuratereports on all students treated inappropriatetimeframes.
Maintainingappropriate records, reports, and information as needed forthe University, insurance, legal or professional purposes.
Communicatingandcollaborating withtheteamphysicianand other medical staff, as needed to ensure proper evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injured student athletes.
Maintaining collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches and other university constituents as needed.
Communicating effectively with coaches and student-athletesregardinginjuries and playing status.
Coordinating the transportation of student-athletes to doctor, hospital, etc., when needed.
Collaborating with Rivier coaching staff in developing conditioning, weight training, nutrition programs for student-athletes as needed.
Keeping current with and following NCAA and GNAC rules, regulations, and best practices.
Following the NATA Code of Ethics.
Remainingcurrent on all state and national requirements for licensure.
Collaborating withthe Director of Sports Medicineto recommend supplies and equipment as needed within budget.
RepresentingRivier, GNAC, NCAAon any committees as needed.
Contributing as a member of Rivier University Athletics Department staff with other duties asrequired.
Responsible for reporting to the Title IX Coordinator knowledge or receipt of reports of discrimination,sexual misconduct, gender-based violence,discriminatory harassment, and retaliation from students or other members of the University community;Demonstratinga commitment to equity and inclusion and ability to work collaboratively with other members of the Rivier Athletics Department and other university departments
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degreerequired,master’s preferred
BOC certification, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification, NH State Athletic Trainer license (or eligible)required
CSCS or NASM certification preferred.
Experience in a college/university training room preferred
Well organized and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Valid Driver’s licenserequired
