Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer - Boca Raton, FL.

Assist the Head Trainer with coordination and administration of the athletic training program in a manner that provides for competent and complete medical care for all student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics under the direction of the team physician and the athletic director. Individual is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student-athletes.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for student-athletes.

  • Administer first aid to injured athletes and apply protective devices such as taping, bandaging or bracing.

  • Assists Head Athletic Trainer and team physician(s) in determining whether an athlete is fit for participation in an athletic function.
