Previous athletic training experience at the collegiate level
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization
Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position is a 12-month appointment, full-time benefits-eligible position.
Assist the Director of Sports Medicine and Head Athletic Trainer for Football in servicing the medical needs of student-athletes with focus on injury prevention, evaluation and diagnosis, emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses, and organizational and administrative duties.
Assist in the design and implementation of exercise and rehabilitation programs
Assist in maintaining electronic medical records
Facilitate an inter-disciplinary approach by working with relevant allied health disciplines in the pursuit of healthcare solutions
Supervise and train undergraduate and graduate students as assigned
Consistently exemplify the core values and standards of Texas State University Athletics
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine
