Expired Date: Mar 23, 2024Under the general supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer for Dance, the Athletic Trainer I performs the full range of clinical duties involved with the organization and delivery of dance clinic services, specifically the prevention and care of dance injuries, and assistance with clinic equipment utilized for injury rehabilitation and supplemental conditioning training.
Under the general supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer for Dance, the Athletic Trainer I performs the full range of clinical duties involved with the organization and delivery of dance clinic services, specifically the prevention and care of dance injuries, and assistance with clinic equipment utilized for injury rehabilitation and supplemental conditioning training.
Experience in clinical work with dancers or athletes. Working knowledge of equipment in Dance Clinic as well as use and maintenance of ultra sound and electrical stimulation modalities, and Pilates equipment. Working knowledge of OSHA standards for handling blood borne pathogens. Working knowledge of HIPAA standards.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
A bachelor’s degree in athletic training, physical education, kinesiology or related field of study is required. Must possess and maintain Board of Certification and certification in CPR/AED and First Aid. 1-2 years of direct experience working with dancers/dance injuries preferred. Pilates Certification, or proficiency in Pilates Method preferred. A valid CA driver's license required.
College of the Arts (COTA)
The salary range for this classification is $22.04 to $42.54 per hour.
Hourly/intermittent on call temporary position with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
