As a member of the Endicott Athletic Training staff, duties include care and prevention of athletic injuries, wellness promotion, examination, assessment, diagnosis, immediate care, emergency care, therapeutic intervention, healthcare organization, administration and professional responsibility for all varsity athletes and club sports. Additionally in association with School of Sport and Exercise Science, athletic trainers are required to provide instruction and supervision for athletic training students enrolled in CAATE accredited program.

RESPONSIBILITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE TO THE JOB:

Evaluate athletic injuries and illnesses sustained by a varsity or club student-athlete Treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries or illnesses and refer to other health care professionals as necessary. Fulfill all administrative duties and documentation required for athletic training room operation. Provide athletic training services for all practices and athletic contests hosted by Endicott College. Includes availability of evenings, weekends and holidays. Provide coverage of away contests as determined by the NCAA, Athletic Conference(s), and the discretion of the Head Athletic Trainer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of a master degree in Athletic Training or related area.
• Additional certifications preferred such as CSCS, NASM, CPR instructor, manual therapies (Graston Technique, Muscle Energy, dry needling, cupping)
• Certification by the BOC
