This is a full time position supporting the athletic training department. This position will provide for the care, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses. Work includes administering injury prevention measures for athletes; serving as first responder to injury situations; maintaining injury records; reporting on rehabilitation progress to coaches; and planning return-to-play for injured athletes in collaboration with team physicians and physical therapists. Supports the direction of the Sports Medicine Program by supervising training room and serving on assigned task forces and programs.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department’s Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of NCAA, Big 12 Conference, University and departmental rules and regulations. The violation of NCAA or Conference rules on the part of Athletic Department Personnel may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
Adhere to principles stated in the Athletic Department 's Mission Statement and promote loyalty to the mission by all staff and student-athletes under their supervision.

Bachelor's degree in health related field. One year experience in professional or collegiate athletic training. . Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
