The Assistant Athletics Director for Athletics Business is responsible for various accounting and business operation duties within the Athletics Business Office. This role will complete traditional accounting functions, perform account reconciliations, and aid the CFO and Associate AD for Business & Finance in improving operational processes and procedures.

This role will complete traditional accounting functions, perform account reconciliations, and aid the CFO and Associate AD for Business & Finance in improving operational processes and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related business discipline.
• 4 years of financial operations experience in the sports industry (collegiate or professional) or higher education.
• Master’s degree in accounting, finance or related business discipline.
• Experience with NCAA financial reporting.
• None
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• A high level of independent judgment to perform complex accounting duties.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and research capabilities.
• Skill in producing and analyzing financial information using Excel.

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Physical environment requires the employee to work both in indoors and outdoors in heat / cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.
• Requires attendance at games, events and contests.
• There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job.
• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
