Job Summary

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
Directs all aspects of the NCAA compliance program. Develops policies and procedures to monitor and ensure compliance with the university, NCAA, and conference rules and regulations in the areas of recruitment, financial aid, amateurism, and initial eligibility.
Participates in the strategic planning for Athletics Compliance and assists with developing and implementing the departmental strategic plan.
Ensures the compliance of all university athletics programs with NCAA rules and regulations governing financial aid to student-athletes. Monitors all financial aid awarded to student-athletics and assists the financial aid office with NCAA squad lists. Compiles and obtains signatures on NCAA eligibility certification forms and squad lists.
Ensures all student-athletes are eligible to participate in the intercollegiate athletics programs. Maintains transfer portal and works with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse in processing eligibility requirements.
Develops and maintains NCAA Division I Compliance Manual and Recruitment Manual. Updates the rules education information and compliance forms on the compliance website. Generates and maintains all compliance forms.
Coordinates and submits the federal graduation report and the NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR). Collects, organizes, and submits Academic Performance Program (specifically APR) and graduation rate information to the NCAA. Provides updates and reports to coaches and administration. Assists in the coordination of athletic academic certification.
Serves as a liaison between athletics, admissions, and financial aid as well as other campus partners to work collaboratively on ensuring a culture of compliance.
Implements university tuition waiver and scholarship policies. Oversees the National Letter of Intent Program to include the development of all scholarship agreements and tracking NCAA individual and team grant-in-aid limits.
Develops and provides education and training regarding compliance rules and regulations for student athletes, coaches, administration, and campus partners.
Provides direct supervision of at least one salaried position.
May be accountable for budget of assigned program area.
May serve as a member of the Athletic department's senior management team.
Complies with all University and ASUN regulations, as well as all NCAA rules and regulations, in the performance of job duties.
Provides rules interpretations in consultation with the NCAA and ASUN as necessary.
Reports all NCAA violations through the NCAA portal after appropriate consultation with necessary administration. Reviews appropriate case precedence.

Required Qualifications:
This position requires either nine years of directly full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
Experience in NCAA Division I compliance.
Experience with Banner.
Experience with Workday.
