The Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing & Fan Experience position assists in the development and execution of marketing, fan engagement, attendance growth, and revenue generation initiatives that support the University of South Carolina Athletics Department. The Assistant Athletics Director works collaboratively across the department to enhance the Gamecock Athletics brand, elevate the fan experience, drive ticket sales and attendance, and create innovative opportunities for revenue growth.
The Assistant Athletics Director serves as the primary marketing contact for baseball and serves as the department’s secondary football marketing lead. This position will direct the department’s mascot program, serves on departmental committees related to revenue generation and brand development, and help lead the creation and implementation of new revenue-generating events and fan engagement opportunities.

- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 4 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

- Master’s degree in sport management, business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.
- Experience working in NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics, preferably at the Power Four level.

- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by athletic event schedules. Experience collaborating with multimedia rights partners, ticket operations, communications, creative services, and external stakeholders.

Create and execute promotional campaigns, group sales initiatives, theme nights, grassroots marketing efforts, and other attendance-driving programs. Plan, coordinate, and execute all fan experience and game presentation elements for baseball, including game themes, entertainment elements, promotions, sponsor activations, videoboard content, public address announcements, and fan engagement initiatives. Collaborate with coaches, sport administrators, communications, creative services, ticket operations, Learfield, and external partners to execute integrated marketing campaigns and achieve departmental goals.
